Scheduled Curbside Pickup

May 5, 2020

Did you know that if you opt for a scheduled curbside pickup, you can pick up your prepaid prescription or household essentials order at ANY of our locations?  This means you can schedule a time for a non contact pickup, and reduce the wait time for a free delivery to your home (free delivery is always available, but may take up to 48 hours for a non urgent delivery due to the current demand).  This service is available NOW!

Roulston's Pharmacy in the news!

Apr 22, 2020

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, Roulston's has been there to support the community. We are very proud that our efforts have not gone unnoticed as the April 22, 2020 edition of the Port Dover Maple Leaf shows in their very kind write up.

We want to again thank our staff for their diligence and hard work under these very taxing conditions!

UPDATE: Adapting to meet your needs

Mar 25, 2020

At Roulston's Pharmacy, we are dealing with a very high demand for products and prescription needs. As we deal with higher than normal customer volume, we are continuing to adapt our business in order to provide our essential services.

Our Wellness Centre location houses many of our vital specialized services, such as our Long Term Care Division, compliance packaging, and compounding, and must continue to provide service to a vulnerable population 365 days a year. It is a challenge to enforce the recommendations for physical distancing and self isolation, while still maintaining our focus on the complex requirements of these at risk patients. Rest assured, we made the difficult decision to temporarily close our Wellness Centre location to the public strictly because we are attempting to limit the amount of exposure our employees have with the public. It is our responsibility as a business to protect our staff, while still providing service. Over the coming days, we are reducing our hours of operation, and may close one or more of our other locations to public access. This does not mean that we are reducing our service, merely that we are temporarily reducing public access so that we can focus on providing excellent pharmacy care. We strongly advise our customers to order prescriptions and refills by text, phone, or online, including by using the Diem Health for I.D.A. app.

Please see below for up to date information on changes to our procedures. Please respect these new policies, and the staff members that are implementing them, so that we can continue serving you.

Beginning Saturday, March 28th, our operation will not be accepting cash payments. We offer alternative methods of payment, such as pre-authorized credit card payment and e-transfers. Please be prepared to pay for your items with a method other than cash.

We have installed temporary contact barriers at our locations, in order to limit contact.

Customer occupancy of our stores will be reduced to 10 customers at a time, in order to allow for appropriate physical distancing.

Physical distancing of 6 feet or 2 meters is required when you are visiting our stores. Please do not approach our other customers for social interaction during the pandemic.

Our employees and customers are required to pass a screening process before they may enter our stores. This is for the protection of our staff, and you, our customers. We understand that not everyone feels they should be screened; if you are not willing to undergo screening, please take advantage of our no contact delivery service.

Our free delivery service continues to expand. We now have 6 vehicles on the road full time, and are providing no contact delivery. Customers will be contacted via telephone when the delivery is at the door. Please acknowledge the call, so that our drivers can witness receipt of delivery. A high volume of deliveries may mean that your delivery may take longer to arrive, or may arrive later in the day. Please be patient.

We are reducing the number of hours we are open to the public. Again, this does not mean a reduction in service. Roulston's staff will be working more hours than ever before, but in order to allocate our resources, we will be open to our customers for shorter periods. Our hours will be as follows:

Downtown Simcoe
9 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday
9 am to 4 pm on Saturday
11 am to 3 pm on Sunday

Port Dover
9 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday
9 am to 4 pm on Saturday
11 am to 3 pm on Sunday

9 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday
9 am to 4 pm on Saturday
11 am to 3 pm on Sunday

Wellness Centre (Closed to public access, but providing full pharmacy service)
9 am to 7 pm from Monday to Friday
9 am to 4 pm on Saturday
11 am to 3 pm on Sunday

Updated information is always available on our website and our Facebook pages. Please understand that these changes will allow us to continue our services long term, and keep our patients and employees safe. In this difficult time, we are all part of Team Canada. We thank you for your understanding and support.

UPDATE: Call volume

Mar 20, 2020

UPDATE: Due to a larger than normal call volume, we are experiencing delays on our phone system at the Wellness Centre. Please be patient and try your call again if you cannot get through the first time. Thank you so much for your cooperation and understanding.

Alternately, you can help us reduce personal contact by refilling your prescriptions by text, phone, and online.

We also have a new mobile number that accepts prescriptions by text only. That mobile number is 519-420-0660.

As we increase social distancing and infection control measures, our Wellness Centre Simcoe location is now closed to customer traffic. Full pharmacy services remain, but patients of the Wellness Centre may now pick up their prescriptions at our Downtown Simcoe location, or take advantage of our free no-contact delivery service.

All other locations remain OPEN at this time.

Please refer to our Covid-19 notice below for full details on how to continue to access our pharmacy services during the Coronavirus pandemic.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding, as all of Canada works to "flatten the curve".

Blair, Mark, Steve and the entire Roulston's Organization

IMPORTANT: Roulston's Message to customers re: COVID-19

Mar 14, 2020

Information about COVID-19 and recommendations are continuing to change. We fully expect that Roulston’s Pharmacy will remain open and be a source of information while continuing to look after your medication and healthcare needs. In order to achieve this through this unprecedented time, this is what Roulston’s is doing:

Limiting Exposure: We are encouraging customers, patients and caregivers to use our online prescription service and/or calling prescriptions in, to prevent exposure and restrict non-essential visits to the pharmacy over the coming days and weeks. We have revised signage at our store entrances and website to include a statement that directs individuals how to access services when they have symptoms of COVID-19.
We encourage patients and caregivers to pre-order their prescription requirements to limit exposure. You can utilize Roulston’s Ready Rx via phone, text or our website (Refill your Prescription Online). This can be accessed at the Roulston’s phone numbers as listed below or 1-844-ReadyRx (732-
3979)/1-844-732-3979 or on our website at

Wellness Centre – 519-426-8011
Downtown Simcoe – 519-426-1731
Port Dover – 519-583-2100
Delhi – 519-582-1800

Delivery Protocol: If a patient is in self-isolation, then a no-contact delivery will occur. Our delivery team avoids any direct contact with the receiver during the delivery. If you are in self-isolation, we ask that you call ahead so that we can prepare our Delivery Drivers appropriately. All other deliveries will be under a minimal contact delivery protocol, which will include a phone call to the customer ahead of time so the driver can witness the delivery. All prescription deliveries will remain free of charge with a minimal charge for non-prescription deliveries.

Employee Protocol: We are following Health Canada’s direction on travel advisory recommendations and isolation protocol. We have also increased our sanitation practices/procedures which includes wiping down all customer contact surfaces every 3 hours. Social Media and Roulston’s Website: We will continue to help distribute current information pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic provided by Public Health, Government of Canada and any other related agencies so our staff, patients and customers can keep informed.

We truly appreciate our customers’ patience and cooperation during this challenging time. We will continue to keep everyone informed as pandemic measures evolve. Roulston’s wants to remind you that the essential strategies to reduce COVID-19 proliferation in the community include regular hand
washing with soap and water, avoiding touching your face and practicing social distancing.

Port Dover Health Centre development welcomes its first patients!

Nov 8, 2019

Blair, Mark, and Steve, and the entire team at Roulston's Pharmacy are very happy to announce that Phase One of the Port Dover Health Centre development is nearing completion.  Dr. Duwyn, Dr. Malo, and Dr. Pabani welcomed their first patients at the Health Centre on Thursday, November 7th.  Dr. Austen will be joining the Health Centre early in the new year.

We would like to thank Port Dover and our customers for their patience during this initial stage of construction.  As local residents ourselves, we recognized the need for a more modern Physicians' space in Port Dover, and made a decision to invest within our community.  We understand that the residents of Port Dover have been anticipating a new medical facility for many years, and we hope that our Health Centre meets your vision.

Please continue to be patient, as final touches to Phase One are added, and Phase Two of construction begins.  The front entrance of our pre-existing retail space will be entirely transformed, so we will be redirecting patients and customers to a temporary side entrance.  We anticipate that the new vestibule will be completed early in the new year, and that the parking lot will receive a second surface in the spring.

Once again, we thank you for your support.

Blair, Mark and Steve
